Welcome from the Tuthill Family
We can’t tell you how privileged we are to have you and your family/team consider participating in this tribute to Jonny’s life and the game he loved so much. Jonny was in every way a typical young man…who loved to socialize, enjoy the outdoors, and explore new opportunities. His life was cut tragically short in an automobile accident on his way to work the morning of August 9, 2016. He had just finished a summer of baseball and was preparing for his senior year at GLHS in the fall. He commented on a few occasions how the summer of 2016 was the best summer ever. Jon had a zest for life, a contagious smile, a great sense of humor, and a loyalty to those he loved that was fierce. Jon also believed that baseball was a gift to him and how you approached the game was as important as how well you played it. He believed that the game was good to him, so it was his responsibility to be good to the game. This is why we are continuing with an annual baseball tournament in Jonny’s memory. It’s the best way to give back to young players as well as raise scholarship funds for mid-Michigan students to realize their dreams of a college education.. ALL PROCEEDS FROM THE TOURNAMENT WILL BE USED FOR SCHOLARSHIP AWARDS, NO EXCEPTIONS!
2018 was our first tournament with an outstanding turnout and quality competition that exceeded our expectations. The 10U championship game might have been the best 10U game we’ve ever watched and we have been around baseball our whole lives. More importantly, we were able to raise real dollars for mid Michigan college scholarships! We believe that, in the years ahead, this tournament will not only get better, but become one of Mid-Michigan’s finest. You could be considering any tournament, anywhere, but here you are. Take a minute and look through this page. Watch the tribute video to Jon and decide if this is where you want your team to play. We think you’ll find, that on Father’s Day weekend 2025, this is the place to be.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for visiting and we hope to see you June 13-15, 2025.
